Staff Accountant

Our clint is a fast growing boutique, downtown Toronto based accounting practice looking for an enthusiastic and experienced staff accountant to join our ranks (can be an intermediate to a senior role depending on the candidate).

The firm focuses on tax advisory, compliance and accounting work – they do not do any audits or review engagements!

Job Responsibility

Our client is looking for someone who can step in immediately as such the following are a must:

• At least 3 tax seasons (recent tax seasons) in a small – midsize Canadian CPA firm with a focus on corporate and personal tax (as they don’t do audits or reviews) – the successful candidate should have at least 3 years experience for this role;

• Experience in using Caseware, Caseview and Taxprep (or Profile)

• Strong tax knowledge and experience in working with owner managed business

• Designated CPA will be preferred (or working towards a designation)

• Experience in working with various professionals (healthcare and other) is preferred.

Qualifications
  • Must have at least 3 years of public accounting experience Experience needs to be Canadian Tax (personal and corporate) and/or Compilations
  • Must be a designated Canadian CPA or passed CFE
  • Must be able to work full time in downtown Toronto office during busy season, after which is hybrid
